polio arm and hand challenges

buy-now-goldMaria has learned to use her crippled polio arm in some ways. It is like dead weight and only hangs uselessly and must use her right arm and hand for most things.

Today we have asked Maria to attempt to do small things we all do for granted. We ask her to open a bottle, to light a match and fold clothes. Each thing is easy when you can use both hands but what if one arm is so crippled it can not move? What if the hand can do nothing? Then it is a struggle to do these things and Maria is pleased to attempt to do them for you so that you can see what a struggle it is for her.
